ADSL is the best choice. 2MB/S will be enough. In Beijing, I do not think 4MB/S is faster. Installations take less than 3 days from application. Currently the rate is RMB168 yuan/month. In case of annual payment, you will have a discount.

However, download speed for foreign sites is low, sometimes you can not access to many websites such as FACEBOOK, because there's a bottleneck for data coming into and out of China and a national level firewall. You can try to bypass the firewall, or ask Google or me.

Fixed Line is installed along with the ADSL, and if it is unnecessary, you can apply for parking, at a charge of 5 yuan per month, otherwise you have to pay  21.6 yuan a month.
